Michael A. Fioretti joined Zukowski, Rogers, Flood & McArdle in 2021 after practicing law at an estate planning firm in Wisconsin and then working as an assistant state’s attorney in the Kane County State’s Attorney’s office.
Along with other ZRFM lawyers, Fioretti addresses the needs of a wide variety of the firm’s clients in the areas of estate planning, probate and guardianship law. He also serves as a prosecutor for municipalities in Kane and McHenry counties in both circuit court and administrative adjudications. His practice encompasses traffic violations and various other matters, including local ordinance violations in municipal courts.
At the University of Wisconsin Law School, Fioretti obtained a criminal law certificate with honors. He was also awarded the Bruce Beilfuss Memorial Scholarship for outstanding service to the law school for his work at the Frank J. Remington Center Criminal Appeals Project.
Raised in Schaumburg, Illinois, Fioretti and his family now live in Algonquin. He was an accomplished competitive cyclist in college, and he still enjoys the sport as a hobby.
Immediately before starting work at McHenry County’s largest law firm, Fioretti was a full-time assistant state’s attorney who prosecuted misdemeanor and traffic offenses at the Kane and Elgin branch courts. Before that, he practiced as an associate attorney in Wisconsin in the areas of estate planning, special needs planning, elder law, guardianship and real estate. During law school, Fioretti held law clerking internships for Federal Defender Services of Wisconsin in Madison and the Green County District Attorney’s Office in Monroe. At one time, he was an international logistics coordinator for Saris Cycling Group, a Madison-based bicycle products manufacturer.
